Tonight we combine our Vigil4Assange with a live stream from London announcing the verdict of the USA appeal to overturn the No Extradition ruling. Join us at 6.30pm. We will be having dinner together on the street as we wait for the announcement which starts at 9pm.

Baraitser’s full support for the U.S. indictments, which confirmed the criminalisation of journalism, will not be a subject of the appeal, unless Assange’s lawyers launch their own appeal of that part of the judgement. The U.S. is only appealing Baraitser’s decision to deny extradition on health grounds. The judge with conflicts of interest in the case, Lady Emma Arbuthnot, now sits on the High Court, the very court that will hear the U.S. appeal.
