End the Media Blackout On Recent Assange Revelations Journalists Rise Up! #3

July 14, 2021 @ 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm AEST

The last 2 Wednesdays we have visited the ABC and Channel 7 in Melbourne.

This time we head to The Age at 717 Bourke St, Docklands VIC 3008.
Lets help our local journalists do their job with integrity.

This article printed by The Age on July 8 2021.
We need to correct this shabby reporting by Jill Lawless.
Look at this paragraph:
“Assange spent seven years holed up inside Ecuador’s London embassy, where he fled in 2012 to avoid extradition to Sweden to face allegations of rape and sexual assault. Sweden dropped the sex crimes investigations in November 2019 because so much time had elapsed.”
We all know he did not flee Sweden. He was granted permission to leave as there was no case against him.
At least they included the video made by 11 PMs from the Friends of Julian Assange Parliamentary group.

The life of Julian Assange, our award winning journalist and outstanding publisher is at stake. Our press freedom and free speech is at stake. WE must make a stand NOW.

Julians father and brother are back on home ground after the US #HomeRun4Julian. Let us show strength and solidarity in their hometown of Melbourne.
Julian went way out of his way for us, let’s return the gift and go out of our way for him!! See you at The Age. Look for Johns #AssangeTruck.
